Onboarding starts with the legal entity or registration, financial year, VAT and employer status, accounting system, chart of accounts, bank access, opening balances and existing reporting obligations. We also identify who supplies invoices and approvals, who controls payments and which advisers own tax or audit decisions.
During the month, transactions and documents follow the agreed cut-off and review workflow. The books are updated, bank and relevant balance-sheet accounts are reconciled, payroll journals are posted, missing support is followed up and the VAT position is prepared from the recorded activity. The company remains responsible for timely, complete source information and approvals.
At close, the output can be mapped to the reporting package used by the parent company. Year-end work then builds on reconciled monthly records instead of reconstructing the year under deadline pressure. Where a registered or compliant non-registered digital bookkeeping system is required, the setup and responsibilities are documented accordingly.
